Since 2001, Green Dot North America™, a division of StewardEdge, has been responsible for ensuring that companies who sell or distribute products that carry the Green Dot are authorized to use the trade-mark in North America (Canada, United States and Mexico). This includes granting permission to use the mark through a “Green Dot User Agreement” to ensure that the integrity of the mark is protected and that it is not used in a manner that alters its meaning (as defined in the licensing arrangement with PRO-Europe).
